Awesome Summer Activities For Stoners
There’s no way around it. While things are opening up, there are still restrictions against big social gatherings. For all the tokers who enjoy things like music festivals and concerts, this is probably going to a tough time for you.
However, this doesn’t mean that there are not options for you.
Lazy River
If you’ve never tried this before, you’re in for a treat. There are few things more relaxing than getting together with some friends and floating down the river.
Some essentials you’ll need are tubes and sunscreen. You can find affordable tubes at places like Wal-mart that work really well.
If you live in a metro area it might be difficult to find one close by that is suitable, however, it’s worth the effort driving an hour or two away to a rural area. Believe me.
To do this properly you’ll need good friends, a few joints or blunts, and if you’re into it a few beers. That’s it.
Hiking and National Parks
There wonderful hiking places all over the country.
Really anywhere in the country has great access to hiking, even if you’re in a dense urban area like most of the northeast. There is the appalachain trail that runs all the way from Georgia to Maine and is easy to access.
And no matter where in the country you might be there are national parks everywhere. The west has some of the best parks in the world. In Arizona you have the grand canyon, in southrn California there is Joshua tree, and just 3 or 4 ours north from there is Yosemite
Yosemite National park is like heaven on earth, and there is an abundance of activities. From breathtaking waterfalls, to epic mountain hikes, to beautiful valleys that are truly paradise you won’t find yourself bored here.
Yoga
There are many different types of stretches and yoga postures you can do, and my personal favorite is Tai Chi. Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese practice in the field of martial arts. It has been shown to greatly improve one’s ability to concentrate.
If you’re an athlete you’ll find a lot of satisfaction with Tai Chi as it will improve both your flexibility and coordination.
However, there is an abundance of wonderful yoga practices, and its infinite really. You’ll have no trouble finding a practice that works for you.
Kayaking
Don’t worry, you don’t need to be a whitewater expert here. There are many wonderful lakes all over the country that are wonderful for anyone from beginner to expert.
The ideal Kayaking experience is taking the whole day to enjoy yourself. Maybe find a cabin by a nearby lake, bring some friends, and have your favorite strain of bud. You certainly can’t go wrong here.
Conclusion
In light of the pandemic, you might be thinking your summer activities are limited. But with a little creativity you can surely find the perfect opportunities to satisfy your stoner desires.

Good article, Aaron. Hiking is one of my all-time favorite activities. Unfortunately, all of the parks around me have been closed for almost 3 months. Hoping that changes this summer. Keep up the good work.
