Unofficial draw ends boxing exhibition. The highly anticipated bout between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. ended in an unofficial draw at Staples Center on Saturday night.
Tyson’s the real ‘Puff Daddy’
We all know, Mike Tyson is a cannabis connoisseur. However, it appears that the legend has put the blunt down and picked his boxing gloves back up.
The former heavyweight boxing champion of the world loves him some Mary Jane. In fact, Tyson owns a 40-acre marijuana farm in California, dubbed Tyson Ranch, that grows nine strains of weed. On his podcast Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, Tyson asked Eben Britton: “What do we smoke a month? Is it $40,000 a month?” Britton, Mike’s co-host, replied: “Oh, I don’t know. We smoke ten tons of weed a month at the ranch.”

Reportedly, Tyson has been smoking weed since he was 10 years old. In fact, following his 2000 match with Andrew Golota the Brooklyn-bred boxer was fined $200,000 after testing positive for weed. “We’re going to make this an oasis in the f*cking desert, man. We’re gonna have golfing sh*t there. Cannabis friendly, my friend. One acre-long lazy river, wave pools you can f*cking surf … you can surf up there,” spoke Tyson about Tyson Ranch.
“We’re going to have like 100 chateaus where you can bring your broad, you can bring your family, you can layout and you won’t even know you’re in California. You’ll think you’re in the Bahamas somewhere.” While all of that sounds moony, we’re guessing Tyson ultimately became apathetic to sitting around puffing on cheeba all day long because now he’s ready to rattle skulls again inside the ring.
Let’s Get Ready to Rumble
In the above video, Tyson compared himself to Chairman Mao, China’s former communist dictator. He noted: “Hey I’m Mike Tyson, I’m on Weibo now. I’ll let you know, there’s a possibility I might come back, but if I do I’m going to fight with the spirit of Mao.” Iron Mike flexed his arm and launched a vibrant flurry of punches in front of the camera. Although, the footage was chopped short when a white fluffy dog next to a swimming pool leaped up at him.
A third bout with Evander Holyfield has been whispered about as Kid Dynamite’s comeback fight. David Haye, a former heavyweight, spoke on the potential third battle: “Although they might not be the guys they were 30 years ago, I don’t care, it’s still them, you’re going to see the names. If they wanna earn some money, if they wanna entertain people during the lockdown, I’m all for it. What’s the worst that can happen? One of them gets knocked out. Well, they’ve spent their whole lives doing that anyway. That’s what they do, they’re both born fighters, that’s what they’re here for. They’ve both been put on this Earth to fight people and that’s what they’ve done their whole lives. As long as they pass the medical, as long as they’re physically healthy enough to do it. As long as they pass the brain scan and the blood tests. As long as everyone’s healthy to get in there and do it, crack on. they’re physically healthy enough to do it, and they pass the brain scan and the blood tests, crack on. What else are you gonna do?” 48-year-old Shannon Briggs is another putative opponent to box Tyson.
Mike Tyson ready to return on Sep ’21 against Lennox Lewis
Mike Tyson has confirmed that he will fight fellow veteran Lennox Lewis in September 2021. The former heavyweight champion made his highly-anticipated return to the sport last November. He fought Roy Jones Jr in an eight-round exhibition bout that ended in a draw.
