What You Should Know About Trump Ending Critical Race Theory
While protests continue across the U.S. to spread the message that Black Lives Matter, Trump has decided to end Critical Race Theory and white privilege training dedicated to federal agencies. He paints a picture of this crucial training as “anti-American propaganda,” but fails to comprehend the irony in his statements.
If Trump claims that educating federal employees about the dangers of white privilege and racism in the workplace is anti-American, he has to admit that racism is the apple pie of American culture.
With that said, it’s apparent Trump relishes in the god-like depicture that his angry, privileged followers created, so maybe it’s not-so-surprising he wants to give racist Americans another boost on the escalator to success.
Why Critical Race Theory Is Crucial For The U.S.
Critical Race Theory, or CRT, embodies the teachings of systemic racism and white privilege manifested in the workplace, educational systems, medical facilities, literature, film, law and many other aspects of society. It studies how institutionalized inequalities hinder minority groups, and why it’s important to demolish these barriers.
CRT aids in establishing and maintaining an amiable work environment for all parties, and is crucial for federal agencies because structural racism targets minority groups in the workplace. It’s extremely important to maintain CRT training on all levels of American employment, and it’s absurd for Trump to consider dismantling them at the federal level.
If we hold federal agencies in the U.S. to the highest standard of professionalism, its impact will trickle-down to all levels of employment. However, if Trump condones racism and unprofessional work behavior at the highest levels of employment, his heard of sheep will follow and feel free to commit racist, prejudiced acts on minority employees.
Certain Americans have previously pondered whether Trump is a racist who condones his KKK followers, and at this point, to deny it would be like denying the sky is blue.
Why Does Trump Hate CRT?
According to Fox News, Trump hates CRT and white privilege pieces of training because he believes they will establish a hostile work environment towards white Americans. Essentially, he’s trying to maintain that reverse-racism is a threat to white Americans, that white privilege is fake news, and that these ‘beliefs’ could negatively affect white Americans.
Trump is doing what he does best: piggy-backing off of the fear of uneducated, racist Americans who feel that white privilege isn’t real because they didn’t achieve much from it. Many believe that giving white Americans another leg-up in the workforce is unnecessary and crude, and rather Trump should focus his attention on police brutality and its centuries of rampage against minorities in this country.
Trump is concerned that CRT and white privilege training insinuates that the U.S. is an inherently racist country and that certain groups of people are inherently racist. His additional claims that taxpayers have funneled millions into this ‘unnecessary’ training leads one to believe that Trump’s main concern is to improve his republican approval ratings before the election.
Instead of being so concerned with appearing inherently racist, maybe our country and its leaders should focus on how slavery has hindered certain groups from progressing. CRT and white privilege training is an educational outlet for those who need a reminder to be respectful, open-minded and humbled, and in no way hinders white Americans in the workplace.
I can only assume that Trump’s next plan of action is to sharpie-out every historical reference to slavery and white slave owners, and pretend that our gruesome past was the cause of non-white outer space aliens.
How Federal Agencies Will Change If CRT Ends
If CRT training comes to an end, federal agencies will become increasingly white-washed with close-minded bigots. Misery likes company, and those in federal agencies who uphold racist tendencies will seek-out like-minded individuals to correlate their agendas.
By attempting to end CRT training, Trump has shown every racist, prejudiced white American that they are the victims, and can continue to dismiss, harass and tear-down minority coworkers and employees.
How To Protect CRT
The best way to protect CRT training in federal agencies is to contact a politician. This is a quick, easy and effective way to make your voice heard. Many websites offer platforms that make it easy to contact U.S. politicians and to let them know your stance on a subject, or how you’ll be affected by a certain policy.
Additionally, it’s important to vote in November for a candidate that resides with your political outlooks. With COVID-19 threatening public health, you can now vote online by registering for the online absentee ballot system.
No, CRT is not crucial unless you opt to be brainwashed into believing that it’s “systems” instead of individual actions. Trump has done a lot of dumb shit but he’s saving your asses by rejecting CRT propaganda.
