Meadow Leading with Marijuana Delivery Service

The Best Dispensary POS in California
Back on March 19th, the CDC was releasing its investigation into the transmission of COVID-19 on cruise ships in Japan. At the same time, Meadow, the cannabis point of sale and delivery brand, was taking a leadership role in cannabis safety. Meadow released a comprehensive report outlining safety and sanitation guideline protocols for the cannabis industry. This report was provided to retail partners to use to keep their customers safe.
People are criticizing the federal government for delaying a response, sharing inaccurate guidance about mask usage, and playing favorites around the distribution of critical equipment. The cannabis industry steps us up to protect its customers in response. This is another encouraging sign that this industry is embracing its role as an “essential business.”

“Meadow has been my favorite to work with because of the simplicity and the functionality is very straightforward and the report generation is always very fast”, said Marcus Jamison, CPA of Vapor Room.
According to 500+ ratings, Meadow’s Customer Reference rating is 4.8.

Supporting the Industry with Cannabis POS
In the introduction of their 21-page report, entitled California Cannabis: COVID-19 Retail & Delivery & Safety & Sanitation Protocols, Meadow embraces that cannabis is medicine for patients. They are urging their retail customers and business partners to prioritize their customers’ health and safety.
Their recommendations for staff safety include that ALL staff presenting signs of illness are to go home immediately. Although this may seem like common sense, some industries have expected workers to show up no matter what. Of course, this recommendation carries no force, and individual retailers will need to enforce their own guidelines for their employees. However, it’s encouraging to see a major player in the industry make it a priority to protect workers. By extension, Meadow protects its customers by making this a special focus.
The report emphasizes that retail businesses are responsible for keeping themselves and customers safe through the use of social distancing. Since cannabis shops already deal with a heightened level of regulatory scrutiny, it should be easy for dispensaries to enforce common-sense directives. Examples like “no sample smelling of flower,” “designate separate entry and exit lines,” and “reduce the number of customers allowed inside your shop” that Meadow recommends for cannabis stores’ showroom floors seem obvious.
Supporting the Industry
Meadow is also recommending slightly less intuitive measures on the inventory and distribution side. They have encouraged distributors to “leave the paperwork on a table then back away to give employees space,” a directive that seems comical to consider if it weren’t so serious for both customer and employee safety.
Meadow is providing templates for stores to reach out to the California Bureau of Cannabis Control to request special “Disaster Relief”. This relief is so businesses can conduct curbside pick-up (allowing employees to deliver products to customers on the sidewalk or the curb). Another commonsense solution to keep customers safe would allow businesses to use a “contactless delivery” workflow, forgoing physically touching customers’ IDs while still performing the appropriate identity check. Although impossible under the current regulations, businesses can at least request temporary relief for those specific licensing requirements.
Cannabis Industry Serious About Safety
Of course, there’s also the requisite product marketing for how Meadow can adjust its point of sale systems to accommodate all of their recommendations. There are no private companies that can take over the role that government should perform to keeps everyone safe. In a time when the CDC is still struggling to catch up with the severity of this pandemic and is only able to offer the most basic guidance, it’s encouraging that the cannabis industry is taking itself and its responsibilities seriously. Further embracing their role as an essential service provider.
