Dave Chappelle is Too Funny for Saturday Night Live
We recently talked about Dave Chapelle and SNL recently on Loud News Net. So when we heard Dave Chapelle was hosting SNL this weekend we were no doubt going to tune in.
Chappelle was classic. Provocative, thought-provoking, intelligent, and ultimately funny as fuck. However, I felt like SNL and the cast was just in over there head for the rest of the show.
After seeing how a professional comedian does it, the Saturday Night Live cast looked liked pure amateurs compared to the legend, Dave Chappelle.
It used to be funny when an SNL actor would break character and laugh during a skit. Now? It happens practically every joke. Pete Davidson basically laughing his ass off at Dave Chappelle making B- joke about his lips. Bush league.
Chappelle is a National Treasure
Despite his surroundings, Dave Chappelle brought it as expected. It wasn’t his greatest work. However, if you’ve been following Chappelle over the past few years you realize he has started using his platform for more straightforward social activism and awareness. He always finds the laugh and joke, but there is always a message.
Dave Chappelle’s great grandfather
Chappelle started the monologue by talking about his great grandfather who was. born a slave. Some really thoughtful work to start the show.
Dave also had a few thoughts on the pandemic and living in Ohio. Chappelle in deep red country just makes me laugh. I would love to hang on his farm one day.
Dave Chappelle is a comedic legend and easily one of the most influential entertainers in the world. Having been a fan for over 20 years it’s wonderful to see use his influence to comment on important social issues. Especially since he makes you laugh while doing it.
