Best Weed Vaporizers
As marijuana and cannabis plant is being legalized in more and more states, people that include teens and young adults are starting to become curious about what products are available to them and how they can use them. Additionally, many are experimenting with vaping these products, usually in the form of THC oil and CBD oil. However, these products have different effects on the body in completely different ways. But if you are looking for some of the best weed vapes of 2020, look no further. We’ve got you covered right here.
THC Vape
Recreational use of marijuana, which contains THC, is now legal in 11 states. But the Food and Drug Administration has not approved the use of THC and it remains classified illegal under U.S. law. Still, people are experimenting with the drug more and more frequently by either smoking it, eating it, or vaping it.
Vaping THC oil involves heating the oil and inhaling it through a vaporizing device like a vape pen or an e-cigarette. Some people believe that vaping THC oil is safer than smoking because it doesn’t involve inhaling smoke. But the issue is that vaping hasn’t been around long enough and there isn’t enough research to really determine whether or not it’s safer.
Herb Vaporizers
We will eventually do a post on vape pens and multi-use vaporizers, this one is just for flower aka dry herb vapes. Some of these devices can handle oil, but we would typically recommend sticking to flower with these. These vaporizers have a chamber where dried cannabis flower is added. As the device is heated, the active therapeutic compounds in the cannabis are delivered in a concentrated vapor. The vapes mostly use conduction heating, unless otherwise noted. These aren’t in any particular order, just ten of the best dry herb vaporizers. Without further adieu, let’s get into it.
Types of Dry Herb Vaporizers
Arizer Air 2
The Canadian Arizer brand doesn’t rely on flashy marketing or a lot of hype. They just make solid products that last. The Air 2 offers a solid battery life, precision temperature controls, and a good amount of accessories at an affordable price. The vape hits are outstanding due to its isolated all-glass vapor path along with the glass stem. Just be sure to be careful when taking it around, the glass stems have been known to break.
Utillian 420
The Utillian brand is another standout from our neighbors up north. The 420 is their entry-level vape, but that doesn’t mean it’s cheap. It’s compact, discreet, heats up quickly, lasts almost an hour, and has 4 presets to choose from. The glass mouthpiece is small enough that it won’t break but thick enough to offer cool, tasty vape rips. We think it’s one of the best devices for vaping dry herb under $60. And no, they don’t pay us to say that. (Although hit us up if you’re reading this, and we’ll talk, you feel me.)
Best Weed Vapes 2020 – PAX 2
There are some brands in every industry that can establish themselves as household names while not having to keep releasing a ton of products. The PAX brand is one of those. Formerly known as Ploom, the San-Francisco-based PAX is an offshoot of the JUUL brand. The PAX2 is a less expensive earlier model, but it still offers a digital display, super sleek compact design, and its single-button control is a breeze to use. The LED lights indicate when it’s good to rip, and the PAX vapes are smooth and flavorful. One of our favorites.
Storz and Bickel Crafty
The German Storz and Bickel brand are basically the OG’s of vaping weed. They got everything started with the first weed vape, the Volcano back in 2000. The Crafty has a huge battery life of up to 10 full sessions on a single charge and it has a hybrid heating system of both convection and conduction heat. The Crafty is built like a brick house, looking more like a Black and Decker power tool than a portable vaporizer. It’s not at all cheap, but this thing lasts a lifetime and hits harder than Iron Mike in his prime. It’s a bit dated, so there are devices that are sleeker and techier – but few vapes last longer than ones from Storz and Bickel.
Best Weed Vapes 2020 – Vapium Lite
The Vapium Lite boasts a strong, long-lasting battery, 8 presets, and a front-facing digital display. It also has a large chamber made from ceramic and is durable for how compact it is. The built-in stir tool is great for getting that last little hit out of your precious flower. At under $75, the Vapium Lite is one of the best weed vapes in 2020 and is a solid choice for newbies looking to get their feet wet in the wonderful world of vaporizing cannabis.
LITL 1
This little guy is the smallest and the least expensive on this list. It’s so small and portable, you can hold it in the palm of your hand and conceal it. But the glass mouthpiece offers pretty tasty rips and it offers some surprisingly solid vapor production. The adjustable airflow lets you decide how big or small of a vape hit you want to take. It’s great for micro-dosing.
Boundless CFC Lite
The great thing about this affordable dry herb vape is the fact that it has a replaceable battery. This means you can take some with you as you go out and slap one in while you charge the other. It’s compact, has a nice rubberized finish that fits nicely in the palm and offers 3 heat settings. Its haptic feedback goes off when it’s ready to take a rip, which helps to not overheat your herbs.
Flowermate Slick
The Flowermate Slick sets itself apart by offering a magnetic, screw-on glass mouthpiece. The glass mouthpiece along with the ceramic chamber offers some solid flavor, especially for a vape under $100. This is another one that offers a replaceable battery. You can also vape wax with this one, but we would recommend sticking with flower unless you’re really just ready to try concentrates. Just be sure to clean it thoroughly before packing it back up with herbs.
DaVinci IQ
The second most expensive dry herb vape on this list is also perhaps the most advanced. There are 51 LED lights on the front that indicates battery life and temperature and look pretty cool when you’re in mid-session. The battery is replaceable, it is Bluetooth app compatible and there are several different temperature modes to choose from depending on how you like to vape. It also offers precision temp controls if you already know your favorite temperature. The isolated ceramic chamber and air path round this one out with solid flavor and smooth rips.
Best Weed Vapes 2021 – G Pen Elite
Rounding our list of 10 of the best weed vapes for 2020 is the G Pen Elite. This one is ergonomic and fits close to a gram in its large ceramic oven. It also features an LED display screen and precision controls. It’s not the hardest-hitting, but it does offer some awesome flavor.
