5 Amazing Games That Aren’t On The Nintendo Switch (Yet)
The Nintendo Switch is stupid good and has some amazing games on it.
To this day, I still feel like I’m going to wake up one day and find out that Nintendo’s hottest selling console was all a dream. But that day hasn’t come (yet).
The Switch is a genius system that allows gamers to never stop playing. Yes, there are many more productive things you could be doing with your time like reading, writing, world peace, etc. But I need my Animal Crossing fix damn it!
Conversely, there are still many ports that the Switch could use. After all, there’s never any shortage of amazing games out there. So here are the 5 best that immediately come to mind.
Amazing Games Not on Switch: Grand Theft Auto & Red Dead Redemption
Porting Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 would be no small feat. But it would be freaking worth it.
Both games take up an estimated minimum of 60GB and 88GB so they’d be pushing everyone’s micro SD’s to the brink. But having both of Rockstar’s poster-boys on the Switch would put the entire console competition to bed.
Additionally, why not start with older iterations of both franchises? I’d take a Vice City and Red Dead 1 port any day of the week. Just please, pretty please Rockstar, don’t have your Switch legacy end with L.A. Noire.
Amazing Series Not on Switch: Fallout
Why hasn’t this happened yet?
I can’t be too mad, after all, the Switch and it’s incredible lineup of games is a miracle that only god himself could’ve created. But still, why hasn’t Fallout on Switch happened yet.
Bethesda was all over the Switch at launch by promoting the Elder Scrolls: Skyrim as a title for the console. This showed gamers that amazing games like open-world RPGs could be played on the go. The possibilities seemed endless (and still are).
While Bethesda continues to support the Switch with Doom and Wolfenstein, the Fallout series is their bread and butter. The fact that Fallout Shelter is the only representation as of now, makes me hope that a collection is on the way.
Amazing Games Not on Switch: Half-Life & Portal
Valve, the creators of Portal and Half-Life, have created some of the best games ever made.
This year the company proved they haven’t missed a step with the release of Half-Life Alyx, a game that many consider being the best VR experience of all-time. Valve has enough money to do whatever the hell they want.
But while they’re off running one of the biggest digital distribution services in the world Steam, could they also throw some of their amazing games on the Switch?
Namely, the Portal and Half-Life franchises would be a great place to start. Heck, both of them wouldn’t even cause the Switch or it’s small hard drive to break a sweat.
Sure, we can’t get the mind-boggling, technology pushing masterpiece that is Alyx. But the old Half-Life and Portal games on Switch would blow up the internet with hype.
